Passionate Theme of the Day: Signs & Synchronicities

When I started to do “the work”, meaning cleaning the “house of Kam”…from the inside out, I started to become increasingly aware of signs and synchronicities. “They” say (aw come on, you know who they are) when you toss out some of your emotional garbage, that you raise your energetic vibration, thus drawing to you (like a magnet) the people, places and experiences that will help move you to your desired destination.

Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi calls it living in the flow. Others refer to it as the Law of Attraction in Action. No matter what you call it, once you begin “tuning-in” your life begins amping up!

I like to believe there is an element of magic in this dizzy universe (so does Wayne Hurlbert). I’d like to encourage you (if you don’t already do so) to witness and acknowledge your own signs and synchronicities.

When I moved back to St. Louis from Dallas, Texas, a few years ago I took a significant pay-cut, cashed in my event marketing expense account, traded in my party clothes for business casual and my larger digs in Big D to room with 2 friends in a smaller apartment.

I went back to working a 9-5 job in an office where the “clockwacthers” kept tabs on who walked in when, and morning coffee-talk was loaded with backstabbing gossip about anyone and everyone. This after 2 years of pretty much running my own business as a field event-marketing rep. Needless to say, I was discouraged and freaking out! I felt lost and couldn’t figure out why I’d felt so compelled to move back and begin a Master’s program in Counseling.

One gray and rainy day, feeling oh-so-funkalicious-and-confused, I was sitting at a stoplight and “happened” to notice the bumper sticker on the car in front of me. It said, “All those who wander are not lost”. Once I saw that, I exhaled deeply and felt lighter.

A small weight had been lifted from my shoulders. That’s just one of many experiences I’ve had over the past several years, that I took to as a sign that I was exactly where I was intended to be and that although it might be uncomfortable, it was right as rain.

I see that same magic occur with clients. One amazing client is attracting crazy amounts of goodness and connecting with all the right people at all the right times. She is living her life by design, not default and her career has taken quantum leaps in a relatively short amount of time. Not to mention the deepening of her personal relationships. I get such joy from witnessing the magic that happens when people begin to live consciously and become aware of their co-creative power.

PMP ‘Kam-bassadors’ know I find signs and messages in music. Several months ago, I was pondering my path and just how “far out there” to go with my business and blogging. Fear was rearing its ugly head and confusion and overwhelm were submitting roomate applications. I was having one of those conversations with myself where I was like, “Is this the right way?” I’d just been given the latest Tremolo CD from a friend and popped it in as I started the car. I turned up the volume and heard this:

I almost stopped the car. I had the chills! How freakin’ cool was that? Those are the kinds of things that happen ALL the time if you begin to pay attention. Whether you believe it’s a sign from God, the universe tapping you on your shoulder, or your spirit guides and angels, it doesn’t really matter. As long as you “get” that those experiences are REAL and they are clues to help you along your path.

In his book Re-member: A Handbook for Human Evolution, Steve Rother and The Group say those moments are “crystals” we’ve left for ourselves to guide us along the “game board of life”.
