Passionate Theme of the Day: Flexibility
"Life is what happens while you are busy making other plans.” ~ John Lennon
This weekend, I was given this message about flexibility yet again. Without sharing details, let’s just say that my plans changed significantly due to a “freak accident”! Had I been too attached to the outcome, I would still be sitting on the couch, scratching my head wondering, “what was that all about”?
Then I woke up this morning to find a second “freak accident” happening in my kitchen - as somehow the freezer decided to defrost itself in the middle of the night, leaving me a huge wet mess this morning!
I’m sitting here typing this and laughing and also saying “S&%! happens!” What else ya gonna do? Yell? Scream? Kick? Pout? It’s over. What’s done is done. Let’s move on to something more enjoyable, shall we?
Wishing you the patience and flexibility you need in any situation today…

Kammie, I once had a buddy that was a Marine who told me his second motto was “Semper Gumby” to remind him to always be flexible. He would constantly remind me about the need to stay fluid.
One time we were working together on a project that had everything just going nuts at once. I asked him if we were at the fluid state yet. He said, “No. This is way past fluid. We’re in the gaseous state now.” Sometimes you gotta bend a little so you don’t break!

Okay this brought on a funny memory...I wrecked my dad’s car when I was 19. My maiden name is Pope and I only share this because it makes it all the funnier that when I told my dad how I really didn’t need one more thing like this he simply replied “Sh-- happens.” All I could think was “Words of wisdom from the Pope.” ;o)
Hugs,
Holly (grew up Holy Pope - Augh!!!)
