Passionate Theme of the Day: Birthday V-Day Love
“Climb up over the top.
Survey the state of the soul.
You’ve got to find out for yourself whether or not you’re truly trying.
Why not give it a shot?
Shake it. Take control and inevitably wind up
Find out for yourself all the strengths you have inside of you.” from Song for a Friend by Jason Mraz
Da-na-na-na-na-na…you say it’s your BIRTHDAY! Da-na-na-na-na-na…it’s my birthday too yeah! I do declare that this, the 14th day of February, 2007 marks 1 year and 200 posts for the PMP blog. And it’s freakin’ Valentine’s Day to boot. How awesome is that?
I share the above lyrics from my b-friend Jason Mraz’s Song for a Friend, because it’s a beautiful song that always reminds me that I’ve always got friends, but ultimately I’m the one that’s gotta create the BIGGEST, baddest-ass, juiciest life ever. This website and blog have served as one of the biggest creative projects I’ve undertaken thus far in my 33 (OK, almost 34) years.
I have pushed and pulled and stretched and flexed in ways I never imagined before I decided to start one of these here “blogs” and place my heart and soul on the page along with some musings, amusings and things that inspire me, make me think, scratch my head or question the way I operate. I hope they have done the same for you.
I have so many other plans for the PMP blog. Wanna amp it up. Turn up the flame. But the past couple of months have really been a transition for me. It’s like I arrived at another one of “those” plateau points in life. Where you turn around and look back and realize that you’ve made it “there”.
Now I’m marinating in that realization and trying to get really clear on where it is I like to set out for next. The terrain is sure to get rocky at times, but I’ve got a pretty solid foundation and look forward to jumping any hurdles that come my way.
With that, I’d like to thank some of the many bloggers who have opened their arms and hearts and blog-rolls, who’ve shared their wisdom, wit and link-love over the past year. Some I’ve woven throughout this post and others I’ll share by saying this:
Dearest darlings and bloggy friends, this year you’ve helped me to remember to Make It Great everyday. I am constantly aware of what being a Successful and Outstanding blogger means. As I spin around in Orbit Now, I’m yet again reminded that I Already Know This Stuff! If I keep on Thinking Positive and delving deeper into the Converstations, I’ll certainly uncover my true Genius.
In this Business Blog World, a little Shameless Self Promotion doesn’t hurt. But if we want to make Money and Meaning, we need to remember that it’s the journey that is our Occupational Adventure.
We can all actually have a Balanced Life Center, where we tweak around with our Shards of Consciousness, but remember to focus on Outpost Earth and not get too “woo woo”.
The Glass really is Half Full, it only takes a quick Marketing Minute to see Success from the Nest begins when you ask How to Change the World.
Sometimes that’s as simple as me getting Back in Skinny Jeans other times it’s a shot of inspiration from the likes of Christine Kane, Jason Mraz or rockin out to my Beastie Boys.
Big hugs and sloppy smooches to you all on this day of LOVE and adoration. If you’ve got a lover…get ya some…if you’re flying solo…get ya some self-love!! Either way, smile at a stranger, hold the door for a potential new friend and share some link-love with your blog-mates.
I’ll close with some words I wrote from my very first PMP post:
“Maybe my words are my wings. One definition states that wings are “a means of flight or ascent; as in “necessity lends wings to inspiration”. That’s it - I’m both. Aren’t we all? Don’t we all reflect darkness and light? Sacred and shadow? Good and evil? Beauty and the geek?”
I think that’s about right…don’tcha think?
Much love and many many many blessings to you all,
Kam-a-licious
ps...I know they’ll be some people I forgot...LOVE to you all as well...KNOW you’re words have inspired me to BE bigger! (Thanks too...Maria, Wendy & Pam & Reese for your “in sync” design)
