Passionate Theme of the Day: Birthright
“I’ve continued to recognize the power individuals have to change virtually anything and everything in their lives in an instant. I’ve learned that the resources we need to turn our dreams into reality are within us, merely waiting for the day when we decide to wake up and claim our birthright.” ~ Anthony Robbins
Today was my birthday. How did you guess 29 again? Ha! It’s interesting this aging thing. I’m actually 34 today and feel better than ever. I feel like I look better. I feel like I’m healthier in mind, body and spirit.
To what do I attribute this feel good non-anti-aging process to? Exactly what Tony says in that quote. I’m claiming my birthright. I’ve begun the process of authentic living. Waking up each day and saying “thank you”. Ending each day the same. Changing my thoughts and co-creating my reality. Living each day by pursuing what I’m passionate about, and living on-purpose.
It’s funny because I went out with a group of friends on Friday to celebrate and the weather was gorgeous. I continued to soak t up as I said, “Yeah, it’s so nice now, but that probably means rain on Monday. It always rains on my birthday.” And it has…almost every year since I don’t know when.
Today? Zero precipitation. Not a cloud in the sky. Woke up to a great big ol’ full moon this morning as I walked the dogs and it was a big ol’ shiny sun all day. Till it handed the sky back over to a giant neon, supernatural night light. What does that make me think? I think the times are changing. 34 is gonna be a pretty freakin’ cool year. Not just because it didn’t rain. Not just because I feel really good. But because I intend it to be. And so it is!
My b-day wish for you dear readers? Claim your birthright. Grab your higher-self by the hand and walk the line. Walk it one day at a time. One beautiful, quirky, eloquent, awkward, funny, heartbreaking, simple, chaotic, silly, chilly, sizzling, dynamic moment at a time. Choose to live as a deliberate creator of your reality. If you’re not diggin’ some part of it. Change it. You can’t do it wrong.
There are NO mistakes. Pick and choose what you feel is right in each scenario. If you choose one way and another looks more attractive down the line, switch paths. No one said life was a straight line. Life can’t be lived linear-ly. It’s a rollercoaster of love. Up, down, corkscrew-curls, super-highs and plummeting lows…but it’s ALL a part of the ride.
What do you say? Are you ready to strap in and get busy living? What’s the alternative…sitting this game out? What might you miss if you don’t get in the game 100%?
A recent game of tag has found me subject to look at my goals. I’ve been living much more from the “vision” perspective these days and not as attached to goals as I once was. But I do enjoy setting little mile-markers for myself along the way…so Nneka, and Rick here you go…
1. Live authentically from moment to moment – now that doesn’t mean mood swinging’ all over the place. That just means accepting and owning wherever I am along my path. Funky, freaky, funny or fabulous! Communicate openly and honestly in all relationships. On all levels – in friendships, with my family, with clients, with new people I meet daily and in one-on-one romantic relationships as well.
2. Live fully integrated, mind/body/spirit – lately I’ve felt that intellectually and spiritually I am in alignment, I just want to get the nutrition and fitness level kicked up a notch. I’m definitely NOT a junk-food junkie, but I’m no greeny-veggie-whole-foodie yet either. And my fitness fluctuates from week to week. My goal is to do something physical for at least 30 minutes a day (vs. 3 x’s one week, 6 x’s the next).
3. Learn from Master Teachers – I want to continue to grow and learn from some of the following; James Ray, Jack Canfield, Mary Allen, Debbie Ford, Michael Beckwith, Lynn Twist. That means attending seminars & workshops, reading/listening to books/CD’s of theirs and continuously asking questions.
4. Become the person that will attract a healthy, wealthy, wise, spiritual, affectionate, communicative, energetic, inspiring and adoring partner. I’ve had some amazing and some not-so-amazing relationships. But haven’t quite met my match. I have a feeling when I meet him, we’ll recognize each other instantly and wonder what the hell took the other so long!
5. Write and publish lots of juicy, luscious, yummy, inspiring and thought provoking books that will help to change the lives of many people. Books that will allow people to know that they have the ability to BE anything they desire, if they choose to step up to the plate and face their fears. This is definitely on the top of my list. I am on my way there and know when the time is right, I’ll give birth to the first of many.
6. Create a multiple streams of income business that incorporates writing, coaching, blogging, teaching, radio, TV, workshops, seminars and retreats - basically sharing my gifts in any way that allows me to serve as well as make some serious bank!! I want to know that I co-created the kind of cash that will allow me to really give back and make an impact through philanthropic channels not currently available to me.
7. Live in an environment that nourishes my spirit. I have been visualizing the beach for about the last 6 months. Not sure where that will lead me, but do know that I want to live, work and play in a location that feeds my spirit, inspires my creativity and tempts me to PLAY big.
The above paints a pretty amazing and beautiful life. I know the things listed above will manifest before my eyes as I continue to become the person that lives a life like that which I’ve described. The signs and synchronicities continue to light my path and I feel the guidance of spirit and my higher-self moving me along my purposeful and passionate path.
This year is going to be a trailblazer of a year for me. What’s it going to be like for you? Drop some comments and tell me what your BIG, juicy goals or visions are, I can’t wait to hear all about it!
Happy Birthright Day to you,
Kam
