Do-Be-Do-Be-Do-Be Delicious

Passionate Theme of the Day: Being

“Maybe I’m the anti-coach. Because when I get stuck, sometimes I don’t want to DO. I just want to BE. Except that I know this stuff works”. ~ Kam

Ahhh life…ain’t it grand? YES! It is. So why another post about being stuck? I wouldn’t say I’m stuck really. If I were to re-cap last year you’d see there was a LOT of DOING. How has 2007 faired? There’s been a lot more BEING

Sometimes that fires-up the whiney, inner over-achiever that still resides somewhere in the attic. I’ve tried to evict her, but I know at times I need her. She keeps me motivated when I wanna slack for too long.

I’ve become more accepting of my many colored personas. Realizing more and more that all is in Divine right order. After long periods of doing, must come some chilllll, mellow, quiet, time to just BE and marinade awhile. Simmer in all the learning’s, growing’s, stretching I’ve been going through.

That’s where I am these days. Still driven. Still holding true to my vision and focused on my top goals…just not in such a hurry these days.

I want to savor every drop. So often we get caught up in the fast pace of it all. Even blogging. I was pacing pretty good at 3-4 posts a week, but lately it’s been more like 1 or 2. Is that OK? Will people still cruise on by from time to time and join in for some witty banter? Of course it’s OK. Of course they do. (Thank YOU for still stopping by!).

So the rythmn of the ride goes Do-Be-Do-Be-Do...(or should I ammend that to Do-Be-Have-Do-Be-Have-Do?)

Funny, I recently asked a friend…what if all the training, e-courses, workshops, books, working with clients is really all just so I get it more deeply? What if my desire to help other’s live lives full of juicy passion and plenty of purpose is really all just a BIG ol’ reminder to myself? Like a giant sticky note on my forehead. A cosmic FYI. A trail of breadcrumbs left by my higher-self guiding me along my glorious path.

If that’s true, I am a lucky girl indeed. Because if I can help shine a light on some dark places and curious corner’s for others and in-turn, I gain clearer vision…what else could a girl ask for?

With that I leave you with these 7 ways to BE delicious today:

1. Sleep in.
2. Take a loooong HOT shower or soak in the tub and say thank you for the luxury of hot water to bathe in and soap to clean with.
3. Fix yourself a cup of your favorite coffee or tea and inhale the yummy scent of it. Say thanks for your sniffer today.
4. Get your booty outside! Mother Nature called and won’t take NO for an answer. Go for a walk. Sit under a tree. Lie down on a grassy hill and watch for animals passing in the clouds. Say thanks for your vision and the beautiful artistry nature naturally and authentically provides.
5. Make contact. Call an old friend. Or a new one. Reach out to a neighbor carrying in groceries. Do unto others…
6. Smile. Nuff said.
7. Pray. Meditate. Give thanks. Be gracious. You have the privilege of being able to just BE. Not everyone does.

Enjoy being whatever it is YOU are today. Wherever you are. However YOU like.

Just BE deliciously,
Kam

"What if my desire to help other’s live lives full of juicy passion and plenty of purpose is really all just a BIG ol’ reminder to myself?”

I think you’re probably right Kammie.  They say that we teach that which we most want to learn.  For me that is totally true, and one of the things that attracted me to coaching as a career was wanting to develop a more optimistic outlook on life for myself.  And it’s worked a treat - I’ve totally morphed from a glass half empty to half full person over the last three years.  And everytime I help a client to develop that outlook I get to help myself maintain it.  How great is that!

All the best,

Hilda

This reminds me Kam of something I once read in “A Course In Miracles”:

“When the light comes at last into the mind given to contemplation, or when the goal is finally achieved by anyone, it ALWAYS comes with just ONE happy realization, – ‘I need do nothing.’ Here is the ultimate release that everyone will one day find in their own way, at their own time.”

I agree with you Kam: happiness is just being!

Hilda~
So happy to hear about your tranformation from half empty to half full, and how it impacts your work with clients. Like I said in the post...I “get it” a little more deeply each time I write a blog post, have a conversation with a friend or client or read new material. Learning is FUN isn’t it? Thanks for your insightssmile

Ray~
You’re like Yoda!! Always stopping by and dropping some little wisdom nugget. Thanks for that...and YES, when I get outta my head and just BE, happiness is the joyful outcome...lovely indeed.

OMG!

Phil...it’s just like 3 weeks till we all get to stay up late on Friday and talk till the Purple Cows come home!! Yipeeee...can’t wait!

Be good? Me? I’ll try...but that depends on my mood. And the weather. And what I had for breakfast. And if any frosty cool beverages are involved...but I won’t get into that here...might ruin my rep...ha!
