Passionate Theme of the Day: Firsts
"I am not a teacher but an awakener.” ~ Robert Frost
Good day passionate people. Today is the first day of school! Yes, another summer is ending and it’s time for fresh, clean, blank notebooks, new a-ha’s and awareness, new friendships and new discoveries. I LOVE the new school year.
Passionate Theme of the Day: BUZZ-worthiness
"Help you I can, yes.”
“Strong am I with the force.”
“Always in motion is the future.” ~Yoda
Hello PMP’ers. It’s been awhile since I’ve dropped some buzz worthy news onya. Here’s a couple of passionate pieces for you:
Passionate Theme of the Day: Fabulous Female Bloggers
"A bird doesn’t sing because it has an answer, it sings because it has a song.” ~Maya Angelou
Woke up this morning to find my gal Nneka at Balanced Life Center added my name and the PMP blog to a growing list of wonderful women bloggers, started by the one and only Liz Strauss at Successful Blog.
Passionate Theme of the Day: Risk
PMP Song of the Day: Have a Talk with God – Stevie Wonder, Songs in the Key of Life
“There’s only so much you can learn in one place. The more that you wait, the more time that you waste.” ~Madonna - Jump
“There came a time when the risk to remain tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.” ~Anais Nin
“The important thing is this: To be able at any moment to sacrifice what we are for what we could become.” ~Charles Dubois
Today I’ve been chewing on the idea of risk. Taking risks. Risking it all. Going for it. Taking the leap. Why some people are more inclined to take risks and others aren’t. Why sometimes we’re easily able to “risk it” in certain area’s and not others.
Passionate Theme of the Day: Magic
“That’s the thing with magic. You’ve got to know it’s still here, all around us, or it just stays invisible for you.” ~Charles de Lint
“Magic is believing in yourself, if you can do that, you can make anything happen.”
“Whatever you think you can do or believe you can do, begin it. Action has magic, grace and power in it.” ~Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
Of the several definitions of the word magic at freedinctionary.com, my favorites are “a mysterious quality of enchantment” and “to produce or make by or as if by magic”. I’m not talking hocus-pocus. I’m talking about everyday, yummy little, juicy juju. The magic mojo we find in the mundane. The joie de vivre of our daily doing and being.
