Passionate Theme of the Day: High Vibes
“To love oneself is the beginning of a lifelong romance.” ~Oscar Wilde courtesey of Feel Good Vibes
Today is commonly referred to as “hump day”. So in order to help raise you lovely, passionate people up a bit today, I’m sharing these tips on how I raise my vibe. I was tagged twice – once by Tigerlilly (Karen) from Allowing A Perfect Body blog and again by Debra at Debra Moorhead blog. Thanks to both ladies for choosing Gorgeous is an Inside Job as an article you are High Vibing!
Passionate Theme of the Day: Identity
“It’s this simple: You are a brand. You are in charge of your brand. There is no single path to success. And there is no one right way to create the brand called You. Except this: Start today. Or else.” Tom Peters
Last week I threw open the doors of conversation and shined the spotlight on personal branding with this post. I left you with this challenge:
Passionate Theme of the Day: The Journey
“The 2007 Pursue the Passion tour is the WORLD’S most energetic and innovative movement that aims to inspire MILLIONS of people to follow their dreams. Three college grads will embark on a 14,000 mile journey to interview 200 of the most PASSIONATE people on the planet. They will expend EVERY ounce of energy and exhaust EVERY available financial resource to materialize their vision of a PASSIONATE work force.” The Pursue The Passion 15-second pitch
Here’s the story of how PTP met PMP...I received an e-mail from a 22 year-old recent college grad who dropped his corporate job to go pursue his passion. My kinda guy! Here’s the jist of the story:
Passionate Theme of the Day: Identity
“A brand should strive to own a word in the mind of the consumer.”
“The crucial ingredient in the success of any brand is its claim to authenticity.”
~Al Reis and Laura Reis, from The 22 Immutable Laws of BRANDING
Often when I’ve gathered links and research and am putting the finishing touches on a post…I find that someone or several people are talking about the same topic!
Passionate Theme of the Day: Drunk with Joy
“The only thing we have in common is that we’re all different.” ~Christine Kane Friday, May 11 at SOB Con
Me oh my. Where to begin? Lots of people have reviewed the infamous inaugural SOB Con07 and everyone has put there own unique spin it. For me…it was kinda like going to your high school reunion. Only I didn’t go to school with any of these people (but I did find out I graduated from college with Troy’s brother!).
Passionate Theme of the Day: Getting Gorgeous
"The day they make me gorgeous, I’d like to hang around...like a ceiling fan mounted upside down. I’ll only have three settings...all of them will seem to suckair out of the room, like gorgeous/gorgeous-er/gorgeous-est. Ahhh, look at me! Naww...look at me why don’t you? Gorgeous is the antidote to eyesore.” ~Rives, Slam Poetry Artist
I’ve been inspired by this video from slam-poetry artist Rives. Why does his poem “Gorgeous” strike my fancy? Watch it to get the full impact, but here’s the thought it inspired within me:
Passionate Theme of the Day: Music Soul Food
“To remember the words
That we are wild angels
Believing in our childhood dreams
We’re just trying to find our way back to
The source of the stream
We are wild and free” ~ Martin Sexton
Went to the Martin Sexton concert Sat. night. I first came across Martin’s music a few years back when he opened for John Mayer here in St. Louis. He was giving away a 3 song sampler after the show and I was hooked from the first note.
