Passionate Theme of the Day: Celebrate Genius
“The kind of intelligence a genius has is a different sort of intelligence. The thinking of a genius does not proceed logically. It leaps with great ellipses. It pulls knowledge from God knows where.”~ Dorothy Thompson
“Genius means little more than the faculty of perceiving in an unhabitual way.” ~ William James
OMG! BIG crush this week. On TED. Some of you already know of the TEDtalks, and for that I am truly envious! I have seen mention of TED around the blogosphere, but didn’t pay too close attention. Then I was looking for Seth Godin video’s for a presentation I was putting together for my advertising class.
Passionate Theme of the Week: Crushes
“It takes a minute to have a crush on someone, an hour to like someone and a day to love someone - but it takes a lifetime to forget someone.” ~Anonymous
I’ve got it bad this week. Some serious bloggy crushes have taken a hold of my heart. No, not the “I want to have their baby” type crushes…just got my eye on a couple of blogs that make me smile, make my heart soar, and give me the warm fuzzies.
Passionate Theme of the Day: Soul Food
“All of my dreams are waiting for me to come true.” ~Dr. Jay Scott Neale
I had the pleasure of sitting in on a 3-hour seminar this Sunday with Dr. Jay Scott Neale, a New Thought leader and minister from Freemont, California. His jovial smile and infectious laugh were so warm and inviting that I was easily charmed and intrigued by this man in his mid-sixties.
He basically told stories for several hours, and woven into the fabric of his stories were Science of Mind principles, New Thought concepts and Law of Attraction basics. Think what you will of any or all of those topics…I’m not here to sell you on any one philosophy or another, (I’m an explorer). I’d just like to share a bit of what I walked away having learned from this gregarious and loving teacher and gentle and sincere man.
Passionate Theme of the Day: Being
“Maybe I’m the anti-coach. Because when I get stuck, sometimes I don’t want to DO. I just want to BE. Except that I know this stuff works”. ~ Kam
Ahhh life…ain’t it grand? YES! It is. So why another post about being stuck? I wouldn’t say I’m stuck really. If I were to re-cap last year you’d see there was a LOT of DOING. How has 2007 faired? There’s been a lot more BEING.
Passionate Theme of the Day: Link-Love
"Better late than never.” ~ Mathew Henry
So I said I was going try and spread the link-love on Friday’s and share my weekly hot picks. I intended to serve these up hot and fresh on Friday, but with family in from out of town for Easter...you know how the story goes!
Passionate Theme of the Day: Focus
“When you write down your ideas you automatically focus your full attention on them. Few if any of us can write one thought and think another at the same time. Thus a pencil and paper make excellent concentration tools.” Michael Leboeuf
Just got off the phone with a client which was similar to a conversation I had with a friend and fellow coach last night. Themes in both conversations centered on these fine folks feeling scattered, overwhelmed, zapped of energy and confused.
Passionate Theme of the Day: Birthright
“I’ve continued to recognize the power individuals have to change virtually anything and everything in their lives in an instant. I’ve learned that the resources we need to turn our dreams into reality are within us, merely waiting for the day when we decide to wake up and claim our birthright.” ~ Anthony Robbins
Today was my birthday. How did you guess 29 again? Ha! It’s interesting this aging thing. I’m actually 34 today and feel better than ever. I feel like I look better. I feel like I’m healthier in mind, body and spirit.
